Herbatint is the permanent ammonia-free colouring, containing 8 organic herbal extracts, which covers 100% of grey hair for a natural and intense result that is rich in highlights. Your hair regains brightness and vitality, and is immediately healthier and naturally beautiful.

Dermatologically tested on sensitive skin, its skin compatibility is excellent. This result confirms the brand’s distinctive quality and its unique finely balanced formula. The developer contains a low hydrogen peroxide concentration (less than 3% after mixing, equivalent to 10 volumes), well below the 6% limit permitted by the European legislation (EC NO 1223/2009).

Herbatint uses gluten-free and Nickel tested ingredients. Suitable for vegans.

EASY TO APPLY

Herbatint colouring gel is easy to mix and apply thanks to its gel consistency and its odourless formula. A perfect colour result in only 40 minutes!

COLOUR RESULT 

Herbatint’s gentle formula with a low hydrogen peroxide concentration (10 volumes) allows you to lighten your natural colour up by a maximum of 2 tones. Only colouring with higher hydrogen peroxide concentrations (30-40 volumes) have a higher bleaching power which inevitably affects the hair’s structure and health.

RESPECTING NATURE

The Herbatint packaging is made of totally recyclable uncoated paper with designation of origin. Herbatint is against animal testing and is suitable for vegans. The bottles can be reclosed and used again, allowing you to use the only necessary product and keep the rest for later applications to avoid useless waste.

Suggested Use:

HOW TO APPLY HERBATINT

Mix an equal amount of colour and developer in a plastic or glass bowl (not metal), the quantity depends on hair length and volume.

Mix with a brush until you obtain a gel consistency and apply the product to dry and unwashed hair, starting from the roots.

Leave for 40 minutes, it is important to stick to the processing time.

Rinse thoroughly until the water is completely clear. Tilt your head back while you rinse so that the product does not get into your eyes. Then apply the Herbatint Normalising Shampoo.

After shampooing you can complete the treatment by using the Royal Cream, Herbatint regenerating conditioner, which you should leave in for 5 minutes and rinse again.

REMEMBER

If you carefully close the bottles containing the unused product, taking care not to swap the caps, the product that has not been used and has not been mixed can be stored for further applications. More information in the leaflet enclosed in the box.

WHAT IS PHENYLENEDIAMINE OR PPD? AND WHY DO PEOPLE TALK ABOUT IT SO MUCH?

PPD (p-Phenylenediamine) is currently an indispensable ingredient in permanent colouring since it allows to effectively cover GREY hair and, when used in combination with other colouring agents, it can offer a great variety of COLOURS. When a product of permanent colour does not use PPD, it has certainly replaced it with the Para-Toluenediamine (PTD), a substance that, like PPD, may cause allergic reactions.
The Herbatint Gel mixtures has an average PPD concentration significantly below the permitted limit.

DOES HERBATINT CONTAIN PHENYLENEDIAMINE (PPD)?

Yes, like most colouring products on the market (see above for details) but, as mentioned, it contains a small proportion that on average is five times lower than the limit allowed by European regulations.

I HAVE COMPLETED A CHEMOTHERAPY TREATMENT, CAN I COLOUR MY HAIR WITH HERBATINT?

In this case it is always advisable to ask your doctor, who can provide advice on your specific case. Many women use Herbatint a few months after having finished a chemotherapy cycle, because it is the most natural alternative to hair colouring and its effectiveness has been proven. In all cases we recommend that you perform a sensitivity test 48 hours before using the product (more instructions in the package).

I’M PREGNANT AND I FEAR THAT A PERMANENT COLOUR MAY BE HAZARDOUS FOR MY CHILD

In this case it is always advisable to ask your gynecologist, who can provide advice on your specific case. Many women have used Herbatint without problems during pregnancy. In all cases we recommend that you perform a sensitivity test 48 hours before using the product (more instructions in the package).

CAN I APPLY HERBATINT ON LASHES & EYEBROWS?

Herbatint is not suitable to dye eyelashes or eyebrows, and it is not intended to use on beards and mustaches. We strongly advise against inappropriate use of the product.

IN THE PAST I HAVE HAD ALLERGIC REACTIONS TO PERMANENT COLOURS WITH AMMONIA, COULD I HAVE THE SAME REACTIONS IF I USE HERBATINT?

If your past allergy was caused by the presence of ammonia, you can use Herbatint without any problem because its formula is ammonia free. Additionally, the Herbatint colouring, dermatologically tested on sensitive skin, shows excellent skin compatibility. In all cases we recommend that you perform a sensitivity test 48 hours before using the product (more instructions in the package).

DO HERBATINT HAIRCOLOURINGS CONTAIN FORMALDEHYDE?

HERBATINT permanent hair colourings do not contain formaldehyde or formaldehyde releasers, and thus our formulations are totally free from this ingredient.

IS THE USE OF FORMALDEHYDE PERMITTED IN COSMETIC PRODUCTS?

Formaldehyde itself is an ingredient prohibited as preservative in cosmetic products.
The European Regulation 1223/2009 allows however the use of so-said formaldehyde releasers, ingredients which may release inside the product traces of formaldehyde, called Free Formaldehyde. According to the European Regulation, cosmetic products containing formaldehyde releasers within the limits permitted by the European Union regulation can be considered safe for their use by consumers.
