Traditionally used in Herbal Medicine as a night time sleep aid and to help relieve nervousness (calmative/sedative).
Recommended dose: Adults: Drink 1 cup 3-4 times late in the day and 30-60 minutes before bedtime.
Directions for use: Pour 240 mL freshly boiled water over 1 tea bag in a cup. Cover cup and steep for 10-15 minutes. Gently squeeze the bag to release the remaining extract.
Cautions: Consult a healthcare practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen, or if sleeplessness persists continuously for more than 3 weeks (chronic insomnia). Consumption with alcohol, other medications or natural health products with sedative properties is not recommended. Consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have gallstones, anaemia, or a liver disorder.
Known Adverse Reactions: Some people may experience drowsiness. Exercise caution if operating heavy machinery, driving a motor vehicle or involved in activities requiring mental alertness within 2 hours of consumption. Hypersensitivity (e.g. allergy) has been known to occur; in which case, discontinue use.
